I am an Economics teacher at an independent boys’ school in South Africa, now offering online support to high school students across the UK. I specialise in helping students truly understand concepts so they can tackle any question, not just repeat memorised notes. In lessons, we work carefully with diagrams and graphs, using them to unpack and interpret what a question is really asking. I have a strong interest in supporting students with learning difficulties and in building their confidence step by step. At the same time, I believe attention to detail is what separates an A student from an A* student. Alongside content, I place a big emphasis on exam technique: how to structure answers, manage time, use the mark scheme, and avoid common pitfalls. My goal is to help students think like economists and feel calm, prepared, and in control in the classroom and during tests and exams.
